Principal Duties
？Work with Capital Engineering and Equipment Vendors to ensure process requirements are communicated and built into the equipment / system design.
？Provide technical support in the development of specifications (user, functional, and detail design) for both the overall project as well as for the automation of the equipment / systems.
？Assist in the installation, commissioning, start-up and validation of new equipment including document generation.
？Provide training on process and/or equipment modifications as required for new or exisiting equipment / processes.
？Work with manufacturing on the development of future capital projects and on the development of requirements for the project.
？Prepare and provide process reference documents for the project team.
？Study, evaluate, and recommend changes in the production process to improve quality, to increase yields or throughput, or to see better reliability in equipment.
？Support change control and CAPA initiatives.
？Support manufacturing in troubleshooting product and equipment issues.
？Develop and maintain overall knowledge of facility processes and products.

Knowledge and Knowledge Sharing
？Scans environment for ‘best practice’ in own profession and benchmarks against BI China procedures and Global Engineering Network.
？Makes recommendations for changes and further development to management and Engineering team

Build Internal & External Relationships
？Build productive working relationship with related departments and ensure that engineering procedures are understood and accepted by internal counterparts.
？Develop a professional, reliable and consistent relationship within BI China and with relevant functions at headquarters and other external partners (product co-operations).
