Job Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Above 6 years experience in product development in high volume consumer products, preferred in household appliances.
- 3D CAD proficiency, Min. 4 years of Pro/E is required and the ability to work with complex surfaces. Knowledge and skill of hand sketch practices.
- At least 3 years experience of team management
- Design experience in multiple processes such as: plastic injection molding, die-casting, sheet metal, machining processes, and assembly processes.
- Experience of working effectively in a cross-functional team environment is essential.
- Detail-oriented, versatile, organized, articulate and professional.
- Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GDT), Bill of Material systems.
- Able to cope with constant change and competing priorities and ability to juggle several projects simultaneously.
- Good team management and communication skill
- Good at English both listening and speaking
Responsibilities:
- Professionally design and develop innovative design solutions and products in a fast-paced team environment.
- Provide solid modeling and prototype support on new product development projects.
- Realize concepts into reliable designs that meet performance, reliability, product integrity and aesthetic requirements.
- Leading team to design products manufacturable
- Generate part specifications, including detailed drawings and specifications.
- Communicate to team members and China factories.
- Communicate to foreign MKTG members
- Communicate to foreign industrial design consultant
- Perform product prototyping and testing
- Support improvements of existing products.

Candy Hoover Suzhou is a wholly owned foreign enterprise based in Suzhou. It reports and provides services to its parent company Candy Hoover Group srl who are a privately owned domestic appliance manufacturer based in Brugherio, Italy. Candy Hoover Group srl was formed in 1st January 2010 from the previous company Candy Elettrodomestici which was originally founded in 1945 with its initial production of washing machine. In 1995 Candy Elettrodomestici bought Hoover European Appliance group from Maytag adding to its major appliance division a vacuum cleaner manufacturer. Our office in Suzhou is responsible for the concept, design, development, testing, sourcing and quality management of our Small Domestic Appliances.
