Job description:

- Perform Production Monitoring according to VDE Procedure VDE-02-OP-017 Production Monitoring Control Procedure according to assign schedule;

- Select, seal and send the VDE Production Monitoring production sample on the site with indication, if required;

- Draft Provisional Monitoring Report and provide report to the VDE Product ID Operation Management Team by 09:00am of the next VDE Product ID Operation Management Team working day after the Production Monitoring;

- If acting as Lead Controller for a Production Monitoring, be responsible for ensuring that the Production Monitoring has been conducted according to VDE Procedures and collect all Production Monitoring findings from the Junior Controller(s) or from the Factory;

- If acting as Controller for a Production Monitoring, be responsible to record and report the Production Monitoring findings to the Lead Controller;

- Ensure that all information from the Production Monitoring is made available to the VDE Management according to the assignment requirements and schedule;

- Perform each job-related assignment as required;

- Manage the Product ID label and offer the Product ID label to the Factory based on the production plan;

- Record the used Product ID label serial number against to the Factory production record. And cross check the production records;

- Conduct the service level according to the instruction from VDE GS HK;

- Conduct ethical Production Monitoring according to the VDE Procedure VDE-02-OP-003 Code of Ethics;

- Responsible for managing and maintaining all VDE property under their control;

- Training of Junior Controllers to the Production Monitoring procedure, specific product related Production Monitoring checkpoints and required special tests;

- Ensuring that all information provided by VDE Global Services for conducting Production Monitoring is kept confidential and not divulged to any third party

- Receive training when requested by VDE Management from VDE Engineers in the Laboratory, particularly in regards with Product Safety Testing / Construction Review;

- Receive training, particularly in Auditing Quality Management Systems, such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485 & SA 8000;

- Perform Production Monitoring on behalf of VDE testing and certification institute according to VDE internal instructions;

- Carry out Production Monitoring according to the Production Monitoring Checklist and MIPR;

- Main tasks including but not limited to: perform Production Monitoring and finishing Production Monitoring report; sampling selection; special test.

Qualification:

- University Diploma (minimum 4 years) in Electrical or Electronic Engineering;

- Fluent in English Speaking & Writing is a MUST;
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a QC / QA Inspector / Engineer / Safety test Engineer / Factory Inspector position in a Factory in China or in a third party Inspection Body;
- Understanding & experience of CIG023 factory inspection scheme would be an advantage;
- Understanding of applicable Electrical or Electronic Product safety Standards: HOUS: EN60335, TRON: EN60065 & EN60950, LITE: EN60598, CABL: VDE 0620 - IEC60884;

- Demonstrated ability to perform common laboratory tests, record laboratory result, and provide feedback regarding inaccurate or unclear data sheets;

- Actual working experience on IEC categories: CABL, HOUS, LITE, MED, MISC, PROT, PV, TOOL & TRON;

- Understanding of management system standard – ISO/IEC 17020, ISO 9001, ISO 14001;

- Mastering of AQL standards (single and double sampling plans);

- AQSIQ qualification.
