Job Title:Design/Project Engineer
Location: Shanghai, PRC
Reports to: Sales Manager
Job Summary: Perform project management and mechanical design for Product Inspection equipment used in Food, Pharma & Personal Care industries.
Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities:
?Process new equipment orders and upgrade design for standard products
?Estimate and design equipment for special projects
?Manage and coordinate projects to meet customer requirements, delivery dates, and estimated costs
?Consult and provide support to Sales Department on customer order proposals and provide cost estimates for products
?Contact customer for interpretation of specifications at the direction of Sales Manager
?Work with other engineers in evaluating, improving and maintaining standard products this includes the writing of instruction manual and addenda
?Travel for design clarification, sales or project kick-off meetings, start-up assistance, construction supervision, measure-up, training and system troubleshooting when necessary
?Ability to provide start-up and/or troubleshooting assistance to site personnel via phone
?Write purchase requisitions and work with planners to schedule buyout items
?Participate on New product design teams as directed by manager, assigned task to include:
oDevelopment of mechanical product specifications
oDevelopment and testing of design concepts
oProviding documentation for new products
oPerforming engineering calculations for designed components and assemblies
oProviding specifications for purchase components
oCoordinating product testing and ensuring product specifications are met
Qualifications:
?Four year Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent
?3 years related experience must include CADD (Computer Aided Design and Drafting) of AutoCAD or Solidworks. Able to communicate effectively with multiple departments.
