Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for development with special emphasis on latest technology in color and effects for engineered plastics, color instrument technology, and new processes for producing masterbatches. Work with strategic partners on pigment, dyes, special effects, and novelty colorant system for a variety of plastics applications. Responsibilities also include developing new process techniques for making color concentrate using state of the art equipment.
1. Positively lead and manage the projects as assigned.
2. working closely with Marketing and Sales team to deliver new products for successful growth of plastics market.
3. Effectively communicate and coordinate activities within multifunctional team and Global Team.
4. Conduct formulation and process development using Design of experiment (DOE).Understand global regulations and their impact on raw material selection for FDA,EU Food contact etc.
5. Operate all processing equipment: preparation, setting up, running the machine, optimizing the processing conditions, cleaning, routine and standard maintenance.


Job Requirements:

Broad knowledge of polymer chemistry, polymeric material and properties, polymer blends/alloys, principles of polymerization
- In-depth knowledge and hand on experience in processing technologies of thermoplastics
- Plastics formulation, additives, fillers and reinforcements, pigment and masterbatch.
- Plastics and color matching related testing, analysis, characterization and process structure performance relationship
- Manage and track multiple projects and activities
- Communicate internally and externally; both verbally and in writing
- Initiate innovative concepts and ideas, generate prototype samples, conduct pilot scale trials, transfer the concepts to manufacturing and commercialization
- Work with targets and deadlines

Education& Experience:

Degree in science or engineering with relevant industry experience (M.S. with 3 to 10 years experience; or B.S. with 5 or more years experience)
