JOB SUMMARY

The product quality engineer is responsible for product development and quality in production. He/she shall be accountable for project management and engineering through the whole process from design to market with compliance with the product specifications and regulatory standards set by divisions

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provides technical leadership supported by suppliers for new products developments including product technical evaluation, tooling debug, engineer pilot, pre-production till mass production.

2. Responsible on technical milestones to be hit according to the whole planning.

3. Provide support on cost evaluation to BD if necessary.

4. Responsible for implementing quality requirements, tracking samples testing and 3rd party lab tests, making quality summary and tests results analysis.

5. Make sure that the suppliers have all the products information before mass production, including control plan, FMEA, etc.

6. Coordination based on ECR / CAR / NCR / Customer Returns / feedback.

7. Support product improvement projects such as production efficiency, cost savings, and capacity increasing, etc.

8. Join in supplier evaluation and provide constructive feedback from both engineering and quality side and follow up proactively the QMS audit result.

9. Provides support for suppliers development as needed for technical aspects.

JOB REQUIREMENT

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

1. College-graduated or above in Mechanical Engineering or related fields required.
2. Minimum 5 years work experience in relevant industries, preferably in Juvenile or Toys. Experience in product development & quality control
3. Experience in project management.
4. Knowledge of quality regulation/ standard to Child products is preferred.
5. Mastering problem solving analysis methods and action plan definition.

SKILLS:

1. Strong communication both in oral and written English

2. Able to use Pro/E, Solid work, Auto CAD, etc

3. Familiar with Microsoft-office software, including Excel, Word and Project 2003.

4. Analytically minded.
