职位描述

RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Negotiate annual Master Supply Agreements and special project materials to obtain the maximum value for each dollar of expenditure and focus on obtainment of high inventory turns.
? Solicit, analyze and evaluate prices and tenders from vendors through preparation of total cost of acquisition analysis.
? Develop new and existing supplier relationships in search of continuous improvements in NII existing supply chain systems, quality aspects, cost downs, and supplier over all responsiveness.
? Optimizing the supply chain of goods and services from our suppliers through to our customers by focusing on lead time reduction.
? Supplier benchmarking initiatives as required ensuring competitive pricing in place.
? Participating on cross-functional teams for design relative to cost initiatives.
? Reporting of Supplier and commodity market analysis by monitoring trends.
? Participate in Vendor quality audits for conformance to ISO 9001 requirements.
? Provide Sales & Marketing with material price quotations in preparation of customer order quotations.
? Providing engineering alternate part and/or vendor selections to optimize quality, price, inventories and availability of materials.
? Update purchasing metrics.
? have a good eye for colors, fashion trends in arts and crafts along with an ability to decipher product quality and find qualified suppliers

WORK EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
? Minimum 3 years experience as a commodity buyer
? Customer oriented person with professional demeanor.
? Thorough knowledge of purchasing techniques including strategic supplier concepts.
? Purchasing hard skills:
? Inventory investment targets & goals;
? Maintain Action Registers;
? Thorough understanding of typical Material Requirements Program (MRP) & Purchasing Program segments;
? Thorough understanding of cost reduction and bidding techniques to maximize value to NII and its customers;
? Focus on Supplier Performance metrics and conformance relative to delivery, quality, cost, and support.
? Solid knowledge of assigned commodities;
? Strong knowledge of commercial terms and conditions including supply chain attributes
? Superior win-win negotiating skills.
