JOB SUMMARY

Lead Quality Assurance and Quality Inspectors, establishing goals, strategies, and actively planning activities to allow the Quality Assurance to execute on DJGCO/Division requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develop weekly inspections plans, execute on plans and providing schedules for Quality inspectors as needed, ensuring a balanced workload.

2. Oversee Quality Inspectors daily activities to ensure inspections are carried out according to plan and division requirements.

3. Troubleshoot issues working with Inspectors, Quality Assurance, and Quality Engineering.

4. Work with Suppliers to ensure Dorel Europe and divisions’ sourcing SOP’s, inspection, and process requirements are clearly understood and followed.

5. Meet regularly with Suppliers to discuss and eliminate known causes of quality issues and departmental issues.

6. Provide strategy and guidance for Quality Assurance personnel for instituting process controls and initiating process improvements at Suppliers.

7. Act as a liaison to Quality Manager/Director, ensuring that critical issues are identified and communicated in a timely manner.

8. Work towards meeting or exceeding established departmental goals and objectives.

JOB REQUIREMENT

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

1. College Degree, Technical Degree or above required

2. Experience with Juvenile Products, and Toys is preferred

3. Knowledge of plastic molding, metal fabrication, fabric manufacturing, and/or component or assembly manufacturing processes.

4. Over 5-years working experience in Quality related field is a must.

5. Over 2 years working in a supervisory capacity is required.

6. Good understanding and working experience in Quality assurance and Quality improvement is a must

7. Experience on Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma is preferred.

SKILLS:

1. Proficient in spoken and written English.

2. Analytical and detailed oriented.

3. Strong in planning and organization

4. Good communication skills.

5. No color blindness.

6. Knowledgeable in the use of the Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
