Purpose (why the position exists):
§ To review commercial contracts and manage contract procedure
§ To assist in evaluating and controlling legal risks within China
§ To keep the company updated and developed about laws and regulations within China
§ To provide legal support and advice to all business units
§ To ensure proper filing and update of legal documents


Key Responsibilities :
§ Assist in reviewing various commercial contracts and legal documents, including but not limited to office lease agreements, tenancy agreements, IT and system related agreements, project related agreements, customer contracts and supplier contracts
§ Participate in contract negotiation with external parties and interface with such parties
§ Help to ensure compliance with legal policies and contract procedures
§ Develop boilerplates for frequent use
§ Handle centralized contract signing, contract filing and retrieval system
§ Conduct legal research and monitor, update, analyze and comment on new laws and regulations or cases
§ Draft general correspondence and/or responses for legal inquiries
§ Monitor and give advice to all business units and affiliated companies in respect of legal issues
§ Coordinate in legal dispute resolution and follow-up
§ Translate, interpret and proofread documents for legal accuracy
§ Interact with outside lawyers and counsels
§ Share good experience with other countries and areas


Knowledge and Skills Required:
§ Solid legal knowledge
§ Excellent bilingual drafting skills
§ Fluent in English and Chinese both oral and written (legal language)
§ Skilled user of office PC applications


Position Specification:
§ University degree or above from a reputable law school
§ With at least 2 years’ post graduate working experience in the legal department of a multinational company or in a major national or global law practice
§ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
§ Self motivated, detail oriented and good organizational skills
§ Engaged as a team player
§ Ability to prioritize to meet tight deadlines and adjusts workload fluctuations
§ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
