Title of position: Ocean Manager, NPO Branch
Department: HOB/PRE/NPO Branch
Reports to: NPO Branch Manager
Purpose & general responsibilities of the position:
？ To manage and provide leadership for the Ocean product development across the branch.
？ To define and drive commercial direction for product.
？ To taking ownership of overall P/L responsibility for the OCE product within the branch.
Specific responsibilities of the position:
Management
？ Provide clear direction for all OCEAN related activities through the establishment and execution of a solid Milestone Plan.
？ Be a constructive, engaged and critical partner to the NAS OCEAN organization.
？ Develop strategies, targets and budget recommendations.
？ Manage procurement, allocation capacity and pricing on behalf of the branch.
？ Lead commercial strategy implementation and execution in the NAS region for the OCEAN product.
？ Take an active role in business development of the product. Engage with sales and customer service to visit key clients and assist with development of target lists for the OCE product.
？ Contribute to global OCEAN direction, when relevant or where required by Centre
？ Management of all direct reports.
Requirement:
？ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
？ Working experience in Asian countries and a good understanding of cultural differences.
？ Minimum 10 years of freight forwarding experience, out of which at least 5 years at senior management level
？ Solid operational experience gained from working with an International Forwarder.
？ Ocean product specialist
？ Good financial understanding
？ Analytical skills
？ Proven Negotiation skills
？ People management experience
？ Fluent spoken and written English
？ Established network with carriers and other relevant business partners.
？ Relevant theoretical business education (bachelor/masters)
