职位描述
Main Responsibilities
a. Manage China operations and staff.
b. Undertake procurement responsibilities. hunt for the right suppliers, negotiate
with suppliers terms of trade, define scope of works, etc. Some travel will be required both internally
in China and to Australia.
c. Ensure timely analysis and review of all suppliers.Ensuring that relationships
are professional, negotiations are thorough and the pipeline of back-up suppliers
is fresh.
d. Liaise with internal customers.
This is less of a sales role but more of an administrative role to ensure that orders
are entered accurately and delivered on time.
e. Ensure that quality control systems are in place. This role will have ultimate
responsibility over the quality of products being delivered to clients.
f.Potentially a sales role in selling to the local China market.s:
g. Liaise closely with headquater staff on matters such as finance, HR,
procurements, deliveries, etc.
Requirements
a. Approx 8-10 years experience with at least 4 years management experience
b. University educated with good English fluency and native-level fluency in
Mandarin and one other Chinese dialect. Degree qualified from well-regarded
Chinese universities or universities from Australia, NZ, the US, the UK or
Canada. Degrees to be preferably in Management, Business or Engineering.
c. Key skills required
- Experience in Procurement, Management & Engineering in that order of
importance.
- Candidates with a manufacturing background will be well regarded.
- Possess pre-existing contacts with local China-based metal works
manufacturers, steel fabricators and automation manufacturers. Examples
include boom gate manufacturers, gate manufacturers or entrance control
manufacturers.
- Sales management skills
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills required.
- Comfortable working in a technical environment.
- Excellent managerial and leadership skills.
- Good interpersonal relationship skills with clients and colleagues overseas
