Purpose of Position
Regional Product Manager provides expertise and argumentation support for sales and service process for maximizing our volume and margin in every sales case in the region, take care of regional product marketing together with marketing organization, take care of local product manager tasks regarding locally manufactured products, carry out productivity and growth actions together with local Operations, RTD and PGs, provide customer demand from the region to global product roadmap process.
Areas of Responsibility
Regional Product Manager is responsible for sales volume according to the PL and Applications team responsibilities and competitiveness of selected product portfolio mainly China sub-region. Competitiveness is measured by fulfilling of orders received, customer demand, cost-efficiency, product performance and quality.
Sales & Service:
? Actively participate into sales & service cases, calculating costs and defining optimal solutions
? Establishment of sales arguments and “value adding approach”,
? Sales and product marketing material preparation, creating reference stories
? Implementation of action plans together with CMS PL and Regional Sales & Service Organizations,
? KPI: sales volume of selected portfolio according to CMS financial plans in the region
Customer demand:
? Ensures that current portfolio performs and meets customer expectations in the region.
? Understands the future needs in 3-4 year scope for specific region / applications.
? Prepares sales and marketing material, roadmaps and business plans accordingly.
? Capable of doing reference management and teaching others to do it
? KPI: sales volume and product margin of selected portfolio according to CMS financial plans in the region
Cost-efficiency:
? Understands own and competitor’s cost-structure and leads our portfolio towards “best-cost”
? Operates for this goal together with other project managers, Operations and RTD
? Maintains product and cost data accurately
? Participate manufacturing transition and local delivery chain definition
? KPI: Product margin of selected portfolio in the region
Product performance:
? Ensures functionality according to our promises in every sales case,
? Defines performance guarantees of sales projects with AT team and projecting,
? Defines maintenance and service intervals
? KPI: Sales related quality cost
Quality:
? Quick response to quality complains and project related problems
? KPI: Performance related quality costs
Competence Profile (Experience, knowledge, skills and capabilities essential to this position):
University degree in technology, understanding of paper making process, paper machine wet end measurements, experience in paper mills
