Job Purpose:
The Strategic Product Manager is responsible for a broad set of activities required to achieve the market vertical business plan for volume, revenue, gross profit and margin % in Asia Pacific.
Job Description:
? Lead Market Based Business Team – lead business team consisting of marketing, product management, corporate accounts, sales management, applications management and platform launch to meet the market segment business plan for volume, revenue, gross profit margin, and GP.
? Set market Prices for the Segment– Work with sales to set market prices for all products sold in the market segment, maintain price books, communicate required pricing changes in a timely manner with supporting data from Product managers to maintain and / or improve overall profitability.
? Contract (Including distributors) Profit Improvement – Work with Sales, legal department, Corporate Accounts Product Managers, and Applications on contract profit improvement programmes.
? Corporate / Key Accounts Interface – Work with key customers / Corporate account team to develop and implement corporate bid strategies. Gather market intelligence directly from corporate clients, and customers end users in the segment.
? Communicate and Report on Market Segment Performance – Communicate and report to management on the performance vs Business Plan and vs LY for the market segment on a monthly basis – provide regular forecasts based on known market data.
? Product Management Interface – Communicate with Product Operations Managers on volume and market changes, work with product management on any supply constrained products, communicate on raw material pricing.
? Technical Expertise – Provide Market knowledge and support to the Applications, Platform Launch group, and Sales Groups.
? Client Joint Development Agreements – Review and approve all joint development agreements on the supplier side and on the customer side for the market segment.
? R & D interface – Provide input on R&D projects and proposals, as well as Fast Track
Required Qualifications
? 5+ years working experience as sales / product / marketing manager in industry water treatment area.
? Familiar with industry water treatment and product application
? Excellent coordination and communication skills
? Good Team player
? Graduate, major in Chemical or Environment is a plus
? Fluent in verbal and writing English
