POSITION: Facility/Equipment Buyer

DEPARTMENT/Function: Supply Chain Management

REPORTS TO: Supply Chain Director

POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary function of F/E Buyer is responsible for the procurement of F/E (Facility and Equipment). The target is to execute all the F/E purchasing tasks with best quality, cost, delivery and service.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Facility/Equipment Purchasing

a) Process procurement requests from various departments in time (includes commercial negotiating, contract, contract review & signature, K2/SAP order, and follow up the contract implementation for the delivery, acceptance & payment), and then make sure F/E purchasing tasks are completed in best quality, cost, delivery and service

b) Develop and manage the related supply base, and apply for new supplier approval in SAP

c) Support Logistics to the process of import transportation, CIQ, Customs declaration for import contract.

d) Support the requestor for the goods acceptance, and resolve the related quality problem in time.

e) Support the requestor or PM for the AR submission.

Improving procedure for F/E Management

Do statistics reports for the key data such as supply base, purchasing cost, etc., to seek for the related process improvement.

Safety

a) Make sure everything we buy is complaint with BW GSSF rules and that all hazardous material follows the right specific process

b) Make sure no safety accident from SCM personals and Suppliers

c) Support EHS team to control chemical materials in purchasing process.

Cost Reduction

a) Focus to high value (especially the facility projects), target at least 3% cost reduction from original price, or reach the benchmark of BW Groups if have.

b) Complete those planned cost reduction projects for the current calendar year in time

c) Develop and implement a cost reduction plan for the next year

REQUIREMENTS:

Degree Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical or Electric is required

Other Qualifications:

a) 3 - 5 years work experience in Purchasing or Sourcing in the automotive industry

b) 1-3 years of Facility Engineering experience or knowledge in the automotive industry is preferred;

c) 1-3 years work experience in Project Management is preferred

d) Knowledge of contract law, internal/international trading, logistics,

ISO/TS14001 requirements ;

a) Good negotiation, contract management skills

b) Excellent English in writing and speak;

c) Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.
