We are recruiting a Packaging Designer/Creative Assistant to join our organization in a newly-created role. Our Packaging Designer/Creative Assistant will be responsible to assist the creative director and design team with packaging layouts and mockups, creative presentations and boards, and other design related tasks. The ideal candidate enjoys working with others, is a great communicator, and approaches challenges with a “can do” attitude. The position will report to our Creative Director.

Responsibilities:

- Work together with the Creative Director and Designers to assist with design projects for the team

- Packaging design and technical design to support all categories of product

- Create trend boards and material boards for customer meetings

- Work together with the sourcing teams in China to provide dielines for packaging, labels, and other graphic design requirements

- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet all deadlines for presentations and production schedules

Requirements

- 2 years experience working in packaging design for the USA marketplace

- Technical printing and color proofing expertise

- Ability to take initiative and work independently

- Professional with business acumen

- Excellent communication skills to effectively work with suppliers in China as well as with customers in USA

- Flexible to work with team members in other time zones

- Highly proficient computer skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Powerpoint

- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or Product Design is preferred

- Will consider recent graduate based on portfolio and initiative

- Portfolio required
