As a Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Validation Architect（高级软件测试验证架构师/高级嵌入式软件测试验证架构师）, you will work with an exceptionally talented and dynamic development team based in Shanghai, to test and validate cutting-edge firmware for our enormously successful second generation of mass storage controller in the consumer and enterprise segments. Participate in all aspects of design and product development through introduction and release. Duties include supporting test program development for validation of key complex features and storage protocol compliance; participate in refining methodology for compliance and interoperability testing. You will have the opportunity to create cutting edge products that transforms data storage.
Job Description：
？ During project startup, analyze customer and firmware requirement, design overall validation architecture and test flow based on the requirement and design document;
？ Roadmap Definition - Develop and maintain test technology roadmaps for the FCD test organization. The roadmaps should include: tools, scripting, HW, features, etc. The roadmaps should address internal and external needs;
？ Process / Tool Definition - Analyze test processes and tools and work with test managers, the SQA engineer, and test engineers on areas of improvement with effective collaboration with development counterparts;
？ Test Plan Definition - Review plans for new / modified test cases and test tool additions for new features;
？ Test Strategy - Develop new high-level test strategies as appropriate for new products and/or major new features;
？ Nightly Builds, and regression – Participate in the definition and content of regression testing and review these projects on a quarterly basis;
？ Product Requirements and Architecture Review – Participate (with the other architects) in hardware and software / firmware architecture and major design reviews. The test architect will then identify top test related requirements;
？ Continuous Improvement - Work with the test and development managers, specifically focused on improving the results of the test lab. The test architect is one of the key people reviewing both the defect content and resolution;
？ Work closely with cross functional teams to ensure projects running smoothly; provide suggestions to improve firmware quality.
Requirements / Qualifications (Education)
？ BS and above. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering;
？ At least 10 years’ experience in software/firmware quality assurance development, including 5 years in storage industry;
？ Thorough knowledge of complete software development life cycle;
？ Experience in designing and/or architecting new sw / fw products and/or test automation infrastructures;
？ Experience in development and/or test across a breadth of storage products, knowledge and hands-on experience with storage protocols is preferred (SAS / SATA) ;
？ Experience collaborating on projects spanning the US and China, and setting technical goals and following through with solid results;
？ Communicate effectively in a team, patient and careful, able to multitask effectively in fast-paced and stressed environment;
？ Prior experience in technical leader role, hands on experience in driving quality improvement programs is preferred;
？ Understanding of NAND Flash concepts, knowledge of Flash management techniques, including wear leveling, garbage collection (strong plus) .
