GENERAL MISSION:
The Senior Merchandiser is responsible for a product line, and is in charge of answering to customers needs through sourcing, supplier management and business follow-up, based on Auchan Ethic Rules. He is responsible for the respect of processes towards suppliers (quality, logistic, finance). He has the responsibility to ensure and improve the performance of his business line.



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
SOURCING AND SUPPLIERS MANAGEMENT
The Senior Merchandiser must monitor and improve the performance of his suppliers base:
§ Evaluate Suppliers performances
§ Regularly analyze suppliers performance and set up action plan if necessary
§ Implement suppliers strategy defined by PM and international or national buyer
o Source and qualify new supplier
o Prepare, lead and debrief negotiations
o Ensure the correct application of supplier relationship management defined by PM in daily operations.
OFFER MANAGEMENT
The Senior Merchandiser offers appropriate range of products for his product line in line with customer's requests. / Responsible for customer quotation for Direct business.


The Senior Merchandiser ensures the follow-up of offers and manages the whole documentation
§ Make the offer respecting the schedule
§ Ensure the best negotiation at the offer level ( and order level if relevant)
§ Monitor and control the reception and quality of supplier offers
§ Ensure the accuracy of the data imput in the system


ORDER MANAGEMENT
The Senior Merchandiser is responsible for the good execution of orders and help merchandisers and support departments to achieve customer requirements
§ Monitor the order processing schedule and solve problems
§ Monitor the sample approval and product adjustment with labs and vendors
COMMUNICATION
The Senior Merchandiser must facilitate good communication with International buyers, others departments and suppliers
§ Organize sourcing trip with International buyer
§ Coordinate supplier and international buyers to reach the best solution for everyone
§ Communicate with other department for relevant issues such as quality, delivery or payment


TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
§ Education Background:
- Degree: College degree and above
- Major: International Trade (preferred)


§ Minimum Experience:
- 5 years relative experience ( included 3 years minimum with international trading background or retail buying office expereice with strong product knowledge )


§ Language:
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Other European language (Spanish, Italia, Russian, French...) is a plus


§ Computer Skills:
- Familiar with Microsoft office
