Purpose of Job：

To lead production, manufacturing engineering, logistics, scheduling and plant maintenance to plan, make and deliver products on time at competitive lead time and to the company quality standards. With an aim of building manufacturing as a core competitive competence, continuously identify opportunities, initiate efforts and oversee projects to improve quality and productivity, reduce waste, shorten lead time and enhance customer satisfaction in a systematic approach.

Key Accountabilities:

• Develop, implement and continuously improve work processes to ensure orderly and efficient manufacturing operations to meet operational performance targets
• Ensure proper production scheduling to meet the committed delivery date and satisfy occasional order expedition requests when deemed necessary. Timely provide production lead time to assist Customer Services to complete order confirmation to customers promptly
• Closely monitor the demand trend and understand the demand pattern. Adjust inventory levels and production shifts accordingly to minimize lead time slips and coordinate the procurement team to ensure adequate supply of raw materials and third-party products
• Establish proper production routing, accurate cycle time and material usage. Work with manufacturing process engineers to improve throughput, reduce scrap, gain productivity and eliminate waste
• Assist the procurement team in vendor qualification, equipment purchase and in resolving quality and on-time delivery issues of incoming raw materials and purchased products
• Achieve competitive lead time and maximize product availability to support sales growth with good inventory management and optimized balance between production to store and to order
• Coordinate Quality Control to address production quality issues discovered during internal inspection and from customer complaints
• Ensure adequate plant maintenance in place to avoid unplanned production disruptions
• Conduct regular capacity reviews against the demand and propose capacity expansion plans as part of the company’s strategic planning
• Ensure adequate Health and Safety procedures implemented and in compliance with the company’s policies and government regulations
• Foster a cooperative, engaging, and motivated team work environment. Recruit and develop high caliber staff and make necessary succession plans
• Perform other jobs as assigned by the senior management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree or above in engineering or manufacturing operation management， MBA preferred
• Minimum 8 years of production management experience in industrial businesses that manufacture engineered products/components in large volume and SKUs; Experience with plastic injection molding, rubber molding and CNC machining operations is desired
• Solid knowledge on lean manufacturing and process improvement, demonstrated good analytical and problem-solving skills, project leader and a quick learner
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and manage a large number of employees. A proven team player with good interpersonal and organizational skills
• Excellent writing and presentation skills and a good communicator to the staff as well as to senior management
• Fluency in English and Mandarin both in writing and speaking is a must
