Experience/requirements:

- Graduate from a recognised fashion institute.
-min of 6 yrs working experience in china. Familiar with Ladies fashion and casual wear designer, both Woven and Knitted;
- good understanding of oral and written english.
- good knowledge of microsoft office + corel draw + photoshop or equivalent design softwares
- basic skills and knowledge of pattern cutting / sewing
- basic knowledge of fabrics
- can be local chinise or expat

Job profile:

- will be lead by a design manager based in the uk office.
- needs to work closely to dm to understand and interpret the latest trends into commercial and fashion pieces
- visit and source new fabrics and trims based on directions and current retail requirements
- work closely with sample room to ensure designs are converted into samples correctly
- work closely to sales teams and with clients to ensure all requirements related to design/fabric/trims are met
- visit retail on a weekly basis and prepare shop reports in a form of a ppt to send to clients/dm/sales team
- have weekly meeting with the sales team to feed them with all new findings in terms of fabrics and design
- will need to travel all over china/ (fabric + garment + trim markets + factories). International travel may also be required occasionally
- work 2 days in sample room in nantong every week
