The position we are looking to fill is a Network Engineer Tier 3.  This role specializes in:

·         Maintain network infrastructure standards including network communication protocols such as TCP/IP.

·         Coordinate and/or perform additions and changes to network hardware and operating systems, and attached devices; to include investigation, analysis, recommendation, configuration, installation, and testing of new network hardware and software.

·         Understanding of network concepts, rack, and stack of hardware, L3 implementations including DNS, DHCP, static routes of the topology, working with ISP configurations and leveraging this material to configure customer’s hardware.

·         Directly support the day-to-day operations of network hardware and operating systems, including the evaluation of system utilization, monitoring response time and primary support for detection and correction of operational problems.

·         Troubleshoot at the physical level of the network, working with network measurement hardware and software, as well as physical checking and testing of hardware devices at the logical level working with communication protocols.

·         Track production incidents to resolution and request updates on the long-term projects on a weekly basis. For urgent incidents, assist in facilitating contact with the proper programming and management staff to resolve the incident as soon as possible

·         Provide frequent and communication to enterprise leadership during and post incident.

·         Coordinate with the enterprise application staff and the groups outside of enterprise to assist in keeping the information being presented up to date when changes are made.

·         Support desktop roles and have experience with setting up PCs, imaging operating systems, troubleshooting software problems, diagnosing L2 type outages, and general knowledge of Microsoft Teams collaboration.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements we expect:

• 6 years of network support with primary focus on configuring Routers, Switches, and Firewalls
• Preferred Cisco
• 2 years of desktop support experience
• 5 years of customer support experience
• Bachelor’s degree or 10 years’ IT experience equivalence

Job Type: Full-time, Monday - Friday, shift times can vary depending on customers we are supporting, with overtime and weekend work based on requirements.
