Job Description
- Lead and day-to-day manage QC team China. Coach, train and supervise the team members. Delegate and organize departmental workload according to project assignments.
- Co-ordinate interaction between the Quality Department and all other departments. Provide technical support to merchandisers, factories and customers to ensure product quality, common activities includes answer merchandisers' enquiries on quality and material issues, give suggestions to factories based on factory capacity and availability of machinery to ensure product quality;
- To read, understand and support the implementation of systems stated in all Quality Manuals. Elaborate and execute procedures related to Quality Management
- Coordinate and settle relationship with third parties to help improve the quality in the Platform like laboratories, testing or audit companies
- Liberate or block the production or take the final decision related to quality issues when the items do not comply with company or customer requirements.
- Receive the claims related to quality problems and propose solutions for immediate correction or improvement
- Provide QA advice to factories before and during the manufacturing process, common activities includes check if materials used for bulk production are of acceptable quality, anticipate quality issues that may arise in the manufacturing process, update files to track production status;
- Check samples against product specifications to ensure that they meet customers' quality standards, common activities includes inspect samples (sub-assembly product samples, pilot-run samples or customers' samples) on materials, accessories, parts, components etc.;
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Job Requirements:
- College graduated or above
- Above 5 years experiences in Manufacturing Industry or Buying/Trading office on apparel and hardline fields.
- Good knowledge of international standards, inspection sampling plan and AQL procedure.
- Strong leadership skills in working with a team and a group of factories and the ability to coach, develop, motivate and improve performance of the teams
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
- Good self-learning ability.
- Language Skills: Good on read English, fundamental oral English;
- Computer Skills: Able to use Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, etc) professionally;
- Travel Requirements: Frequently;
- Good integrity.
