Responsibilities:

• Coordinate assessments of factories, gatekeep  sign-off for new factories and exit poor sites
• Provide insights from supply base and identify priorities of issues and solutions
• Support the Responsible Sourcing Manager by contributing to development of category and/or country plans of responsible sourcing and see to their effective implementation
• Build strong relationships with various stakeholders within the business (including commercial and technical) and have regular overall reviews of supply base with stakeholders, and being the “go-to” person for responsible sourcing across relevant business areas
• Support the development of communications and training materials to support successful implementation and long term sustainability of solutions
• Engage with suppliers for regular review of their overall ethical performance, and upgrade their standards by instigating their ownership of responsible sourcing and supporting them to develop long term plans and solutions, build up internal capability to manage and upgrade standards effectively
• Manage external service providers like audit firms by planning due diligence and regular review of quality of service
• Lead, develop and coach ethical trading specialists

Requirements:

• 8-10 years of relevant experience in an international manufacturing company or in a sourcing office or with a supplier/ 3rd party service provider
• Knowledge about ISO9000 and SA8000 certification, has Ethical trading practices
• Good English communication skills both in verbal and written
• Can work independently and under pressure
• Can travel frequently
