AWS Marketplace China engineering team is looking for an experienced software development engineer to help us launch AWS Marketplace in China. AWS Marketplace is an "app store" for cloud-based software that runs on AWS, and we're building a unique new platform for selling and buying software. Our job is to bring Amazon's e-commerce expertise to cloud software and fundamentally change how software is discovered and consumed in the cloud - and we need your help!
As a software engineer lead on the team:
· You will guide our team's technical strategies, vision, and architecture
· You will solve a breadth of technical problems involving business intelligence analysis, back-end software engineering, and user interface development
· You will design and build software that is highly available, performant, scalable, and extensible
· You will influence quantitative algorithms used (e.g. machine learning, optimization) to make recommendations
· You will work with user research and user experience design to build new customer experiences with appealing, intuitive, interactive, and responsive user interfaces
This opportunity is suited for highly motivated and talented software engineers who want to apply and grow their technical depth and breadth while defining and driving a new customer experience for AWS Marketplace China.
In this role, a commitment to teamwork, customer focus, and strong communication skills (for both technical and business partners) are absolute requirements. We're building reliable, scalable, and high-performance services, so we expect you to have exceptional technical expertise, a sound understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, and are eager to work with large-scale distributed systems.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS· MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
· 5+ years of industry experience.
· Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS· 5+ technical leader experience in e-commerce and/or cloud computing industry.

· Programming experience in any of the following languages: Java, JavaScript, Ruby, C#, C++, Python in Linux and/or Windows environments.
·
· Experience with web frameworks, for example, React, Angular, Spring etc.
·
· Proficience in building scalable infrastructure software or distributed systems for commercial web-based services.
·
· Experience with AWS services like EC2, DynamoDB, Redshift, RDS, Step Function, etc.
·
· Sharp problem-solving abilities and proven design skills.
·
· Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
·
· Demonstrated leadership abilities in an engineering environment, driving operational excellence and best practices.
·
· MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
