Overall Scope of the job:

To ensure that all aspects of Gallery, Furniture and all Hard goods manufacturing and processes from a technical perspective are managed, maintained a followed to industry best practice, GTL procedures and retailer policy

To propose and develop recommendations to make the product and process better with a cost and risk proposal associated

Ensure all samples and sealing products are made to the highest standard, and GTL and retailer policies are followed

The QC team are audited and non -conformances reported so that adequate guidance and training can be given

Evaluate new factories for suitability to GTL and retailer policies and technical proficiencies in relation to the product being requested

To carry out QC inline and pre shipment inspections (PSI) and other work as and when required

To support the MD in any activity he requires for the smooth running of the company including if required overseas support

General

1. To ensure the products we produce are to the highest standard and are following the minimum of the gold seal - where not please record and advise
2. Risk analysis each product and make recommendations for change and improvement
3. Ensure all gold seals are looked at in conjunction with the manufactured product and propose ways we can improve the product - record your findings
4. Install industry best practices and make recommendation to the factory to improve efficiency on the technical aspects of the product with a cost and risk associated – record and show implementation
5. Develop LEAN manufacturing and liaise with our expert in team
6. Ensure that the QC are managing their work efficiently and are working to optimum capacity – record findings and make recommendations,
7. QC observation - make recommendation of change in the process and administration to enhance the product and streamline the process for better results
8. Ensure each aspect of the manufacturing process in each factory is observed to ensure that the product is manufactured to its optimum level in quality and technical application – record and monitor findings
9. Raw material control and traceability is known and we are aware of the process route
10. Project work to be undertaken as and when required
11. Ensure each factory has QC checks and controls in each process and ensure no work can move through the line without adequate QC controls in place.
12. Evaluate new factories and report findings

Specifics on upholstery /Barstool/Chairs

a. Ensure the product is pattern and strip matched – observe and make recommendations

b. The FR physical controls in the factory are followed – work with Merchandise Manager

c. The frame assembly is managed and controlled

d. The process visibility in each factory and the feeder factories are in place

e. All feeder factories are following basic standards and technically safe and compliant (refer to compliance team).

f. No dead wood and bark, live knots and sub materials are used in the product and any substandard raw materials, are reported

Specifics on cabinetry

a. All joints are constructed and neat and tidy

b. All painting applications are maintained and to the color standards set

c. All color standards in factory are re-coded and kept in a safe location

Golden Tiger Supply Chain Services Limited is a dedicated and exclusive supply chain operations company to Dunelm in the Homeware

It was founded in March 2013

The activities of the company started in Bangladesh, China was added in August 2013 with Pakistan entering the portfolio during January 2014 and latterly we have been awardee Indonesia January 2016

Working on a completely transparent basis and being rewarded ‘only’ as a percentage of the FOB price so we become a part of customers cost centre, we are able to deliver services in country using dedicated and skilled personnel.

Based on the principles of high moral standing, Golden Tiger performs its activities with integrity to perform its duties in country to ensure the customer operates within a safe, structured and coordinated environment by adding value to the customers supply chain in delivering a portfolio of products to customers’ expectations with the final negotiation of the FOB price being agreed by the customer

Golden Tigers main areas of activities are

?    Quality Assurance –supporting the vendors in supply chain best practise to reduce risk by operating appropriate systems and procedures
?    Quality Control – performing inline, pre shipment reporting (PSI) to defined and transparent AQL criteria and standards
?    Corporate and Social Responsibility (CSR) – working to the ETI based code, working with and supporting vendors to ensure they maintain and manage a mandatory degree of due diligence and acquire a SMETA audit, which supports continuous improvement as a condition of supply
?    Vendor management – support new and existing factories in country with existing and new procedures
?    Sourcing - new factories and product to enhance the Dunelm product portfolio
?    Merchandising – coordinating visibility to Dunelm from the vendor base

The principles above are exercised by Golden Tiger, with the minimum of cost, to enable the customer to maintain an efficient and pro-active supply chain in country in a transparent and coordinated manner
