Key areas of accountability:

Root cause analysis

Investigation of electro-acoustical blocking issues during the validation, ramp up phase of products during *** projects.  Quickly identify in which area the root cause is situated (Components, Design, Jig & fixture, Process, Test Equipment or parameters).  Support the analysis and perform the most common Klippel R&D measurements. Communicate this transparently by making impactful presentations towards the internal and external (customer) stakeholders. 

Work as the important contact window with R&D Quality team.

Take lead for improvement projects

Breakthrough in non-trivial Electro-acoustical by supports from the CI Manager.  look across the borders and pull in the required disciplines with the right competences.

Knowledge management and training

Take lead in documenting the RCA methods, lessons learned, common issues into understandable formats (Procedures / guidelines / debug trees / …).  Including update the available local and global knowledgebases (e.g. debug tree database) to ensure the manufacturing teams always have access to the most recent best practices. 

Train the manufacturing team(s) by a train the trainer principle (focus on manufacturing and quality engineers) to guarantee that manufacturing teams quickly can determine root causes of electro-acoustical issues and ensure downtimes and performance losses are reduced to a minimum. 

Support manufacturing teams by supplying practical usable tools translating the observations in understandable directions.  Work closely with the Test Development team to integrate e.g. functionality in the (EOL) test machines and or software eco-system.

Electro-acoustical test specialist:

Set up both software and hardware per specific requirement from internal and external customers.

Quick troubleshooting and settle down testing and validation system problems.

Closely work with global testing team to realize the introduction & upgrading new testing equipment & technology for manufacturing plant.

Work with testing machine /jig vendor for the maintenance, debug of testing fixture.

Testing equipment /jig release & yearly calibration.

Compose maintenance & debug manual for all testing related equipment, jig, software to technicians.

For products, translate the defined performance in anechoic (R&D) conditions towards production conditions to guarantee the performance over lifetime. 

Translate the applied principles (e.g. correlation) into practical methods in collaboration with Test Engineering. 

Masters the applicable test procedures and apply test parameters and limits to guarantee the optimal ratio between detection and yield and apply this knowhow in practice during *** projects.

Qualification:

• University Degree in Electro-Acoustics or proven experience by a convincing track record in a similar industry
• Min 3 years’ experience in the electro-acoustical field for similar products.
• Background and strong interest in loudspeaker assembly processes, loudspeaker design, audio electronics and loudspeaker and component measurements.
• Have experience in running continuous improvement projects (using tools and principles like lean, six sigma, statistical process control).
• Familiar with Microsoft Office, data processing including with statistical analysis (e.g. Minitab)
• Fluency in both written and oral English.
• Strong analytical and data driven mind.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to show technical leadership, not intimidated by other experts.
• Honest team player who’s able to track accurately the progress of activities

• Stress resistant and able to make decisions under pressure.
• Self-learner in case additional competence needs to be acquired to execute his job.
