Purpose
IKEA's vision to create a better everyday life for the many people extends to the many co-workers within our own IKEA organisation. It is with our Local IT Idea that we commit ourselves to creating a better IT environment for each one of our co-workers. Through Local IT, IKEA can provide stable and secure IT environment to support IKEA's vision and business objectives in the store.

Mandate
Working as the members of the IT Function, Local IT plays the important role in supporting IT environment for IKEA Retail China, such as daily maintenance IKEA computer system, hardware and software purchase & maintenance, IT security, IT routines and procedures, knowledge tools. IT communication is also required between Local IT and other business units. For good examples for cooperation, Local IT need build a working model of IT support and service, such as troubleshooting->preventing->improving.
Main Responsibilities and Duties
Hardware and software purchase & maintenance
· All IT purchases need follow IKEA standard
· Help to control hardware and software cost
· Maintenance hardware checklist

Daily support
· To secure IKEA computer system
· Maintenance IT accessories, such as printer, video conference and etc
· Maintenance IT local solution

Infrastructure Maintenance
· To secure IKEA computer room
· To secure IKEA network
· Optimize IKEA infrastructure

IT communication
· Build-up knowledge tools
· Give appropriate education
· Interactive IT related communication with business unit

IT project
· Basic support of IT project
· Have some competence to provide local solution under business goal

Knowledge
General understanding of all application used within IKEA store, their interactivity and whom the responsible matrix partners are for each
