BS in an engineering discipline with a minimum of 3-5 years experience in the design of plastic automotive components.

Some experience and working knowledge of Unigraphics or may require working capability in a related customer design software such as UG or CATIA.

Requires superior technical problem solving skills, creativity, adaptability, flexibility and high energy level.

Well developed interpersonal and communication skills are also required.

Major Responsibilities:
- Responsible to create CAD data according to request and requirements by TRW
internal.
- Responsible to provide regular and timely communications to customers and
outside suppliers on a variety of issues related to design, acceptability and
application of products.
- Responsible for working Independent and functioning construction and optimizing of
technical components with CAD respecting internal and external specifications;
- Responsible for providing technical direction to less experienced professionals or
outside suppliers;
- Responsible to demonstrate creativity to contribute to new engineering solutions
and concepts;
- Responsible to calculate dimensional and geometrical tolerance stack and to
perform design analysis (Design review, Moldflow, FEM);
- Responsible to manage CAD Data in system and to transfer to customer & TRW
intern;
- Responsible for Implementation of design check lists and data checker;
- Responsible for product standardization in CAD system;
- Responsible to evaluate existing parts and bookshelf technology for use and
adaptation in new applications, including different materials and finishes;
- Responsible to ensure compliance with customer specs and policies through the
use of TRW policies and procedures including APQP, GDPIM and QS9000;
Support the application engineer and the Program Management to develop new
systems or components and solve production problems;
- Support application engineer in project teams with good teamwork manner;
- Support application engineering in handling of concessions and change requests
( ECRs) with CAD support.

Key Competencies:
- Technical Education;
- Knowledge in plastics material, Knowledge of plastics oriented construction
- Knowledge of mold making and/or injection molding;
- CAD system profound Know how (CATIA V5 / UG)
- Creativity and sensitive to new technology
- Knowledge of IT-systems (Microsoft Office) and presentation techniques
- Ability to familiarize oneself with new tasks
- Targeted and result oriented working
- Good communication skills, team oriented
- Good English language
- Willingness to travel, Resilience
- Flexible to fit changing environment.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years experience in the design of advanced plastic components
- Experience and working knowledge of Catia V5/UG software is essential.
- Experience in making and controlling drawings, knowledgeable in GD & T
- Knowledge of 6 Sigma (Green belt), DFA, DFM and GDPIM will be preferred
- Experience with quality control systems -DFMEA, -DVP and Design to cost preferred
- Basic Knowledge in project management required
- Experience with customer/supplier contact and other cultures are in advantage.
