• According to the company's strategic requirements, conduct the appearance and structure design of products.

  

 

  

• Translate user needs into fascinating innovations that will improve the quality and appearance of the powertools products.

   

• Work with the design team and technical team from the development of the initial design/sketch up to the final model, be able to give directions and recommendations to reach the desired result.

   

• Partner with cross-functional teams to define problems and goals, build prototype and launch new products.

   

• Work closely with technical team to ensure quality implementations and user experience.

   

• Candidates may be required to travel to supplier meetings, mainly within mainland China, but also internationally.

                  

work experience requirements/Skills:

• Proven experience of design for manufacture.

• 5+ years industry experience in Industrial Design, familiar with powertools structure.

• Excellent understanding of engineering and production processes.

• Demonstrated abilities and sensibilities on the creation of elegant, refined and practical designs.

• Candidates must be familiar with legal Intellectual Property laws and regulations, understand how to design products and related features without infringement of existing IP, and bring with them the know-how of creating unique, patentable product features as part of the design process.

• Candidates should be familiar with international product compliance requirements for power tools in order to design products in-line with the most current compliance guidelines.

• Previous experience in the full design process from briefing to production.

• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, 3D modelling & Rendering softwares (e.g. Rhino, 3D Max, , Solid Works). 

• Familiar with Powertools industry

          

• Qualified candidates will be well organized and have the ability and commitment to meet tight design schedule

  

• Fluent in Chinese and English, both oral and written.
