Position Title: Separations System Project Leader.
Department: Technology and Innovations.
Location of Position: CandyHoover Suzhou Ltd.
Reporting to: Technology and innovations manager.
Leading the design, development, testing and reporting on the next generation of Hoover vacuum cleaner separation systems.
Responsibilities:
Design:
Invent new technology and systems airborne particle separators for use in domestic vacuum cleaners.
Improve existing Hoover separation systems performance.
Develop a range of 'Off the shelf' separation systems of varying efficiencies and performance for new ranges of vacuum cleaners.


Convey all your initial ideas and proposals in 2D sketches and drawings.
Using 3D CAD construct robust, detailed and editable models of selected new separation systems.
Create material definition documents allowing rapid prototype suppliers to manufacture according to requirements.
Manage timely delivery of prototypes.


Development, Testing:
Precise assembly and thorough pre-testing of prototypes.
Performance testing of prototypes and competitor separation systems according to company testing standards and procedures.
Development and improvement of existing testing standards.
Performance testing according IEC60312 standards.
Competitor separation system analysis, design evaluation and benchmarking.


Reporting:
Clear, unequivocal logging of test data and assessment of system performances.
Apply sound scientific and logical approach to iterative development of aforementioned prototype separation system.
Prepare concise and detailed reports conveying results and conclusions to management.


Leadership:
You are responsible for project planning to work within tight time scales to deliver separation systems for use in deadline driven new vacuum cleaners. You are expected to manage simultaneously both pure Research and live projects.

You have a thorough understanding of fluid dynamics and its practical applications.
You have a broad knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
You are practical and have a hands-on approach.

Strong scientific and analytical mind.
Conscious of the wider business environment and impact of your work on company profitability.
Have a good understanding of injection molding principles and practice.
Have a good understating of plastic component part design.
Essential requirements:
Languages: Mandarin & English
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering.
Experience: Must have practical experience of fluid dynamics and direct application to products.
Skills: Strong analytical / clear communication / confident interpersonal / commercially aware
Computer skills: MS / Excel / Word / Pro-E Wild Fire 4 / Power Point


General requirements:

Others:
It would be beneficial if you had experience or use of ANSYS Fluent or CFX software.
Previous experience of any type of particle separators.

It reports and provides services to its parent company Candy Hoover Group srl who are a privately owned domestic appliance manufacturer based in Brugherio, Italy. Candy Hoover Group srl was formed in 1st January 2010 from the previous company Candy Elettrodomestici which was originally founded in 1945 with its initial production of washing machine. In 1995 Candy Elettrodomestici bought Hoover European Appliance group from Maytag adding to its major appliance division a vacuum cleaner manufacturer. Our office in Suzhou is responsible for the concept, design, development, testing, sourcing and quality management of our Small Domestic Appliances.
