Responsibilities:

• Working in collaboration with Design and Buying to ensure that product designed is effectively and clearly communicated to the vendor base, in order to fulfil our commitment to our customer of great style and great value.
• To ensure that Target product quality, legislated product safety/compliance and ethical requirements are embedded into the manufacturing process
• Ensure product development process from Design to sample approval stage is in line with critical path management for lead times is agreed are fully compliant.
• Ensure to create & prepare detailed technical packages and issue the packages to milestone dates and in accordance to the processes, construction techniques, guidelines and standards established.
• Ensure to create and establish commercially accepted basic blocks in accordance to department brand and customer.
• Ensure regular product fit, quality and construction reviews are conducted with internal/external stakeholders, maximising use of video conference for Target Asia approvals
• Work in collaboration with Stylists and Buying Team to ensure that the product is Fit for Purpose and cost parameters are achieved.
• Ensure to maintain consistency of product size, fit, style and construction through regular reviews with relevant stakeholders.

Requirements:

• College and diploma graduates in related field, or other technical qualification equivalence
• Minimum 5-10 years experience in related field
• Experiences in technical package creation, working directly with designers and buyers, leading fit sessions on live model and handling product approval
• Knowledge in pattern making, garment construction, garment manufacturing and quality
• Good aesthetic and commercial sense in making product development judgement
• Good communication and problem solving skills, collaborative team player and proactive thinker
• Well-versed in computer, MS office/Excel and experience in PLM related system
• Proficiency in both written/spoken English/Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
• Occasional travel to China is required
