OVERSEAS PRODUCTION EXPEDITOR

-Obtain as quickly as possible and mantain Production Schedules for POs as issued to the manufacturer
-Communicate daily changes in the Production Schedule
-Coordinate out of scope tasks (i.e. either temp agency or transfer to warehouse with resources) needed in the completion of the product to market (i.e. packaging)
-In caseswhere out of scope work is done by the manufacturer, auditing the premise of pricing (i.e. time per unit to pack, etc..)
- Ensure product is produced to spec whithin a given sample population
-Expedite any project on the production floor where necessary
-Work with QC and Production Leads in regard to rework and rejected product in order to quickly act on any potentially late project
-Communicate to purchasing any material issues that may arise through the course of production
-Work with production leads to quickly get each project moved along
-Ability to read work order instructions and assist in carrying out directions as necessary
-Supervise previously prepared programs and assigned tooling to complete each job
-Communciate with programming any issues or additional requirements needed
-Identify (to the company) areas for process improvement, cost and waste reduction
-Assist supervision and inserter Operators with workflow to/from machines, reversing product when needed, creating copies of manifacturing specifications, and physically gathering necessary materials (actual statements, trays, zip lists, try tags, etc.) for the job to prepare for run time.
-Supervise and expedites the finished product from the off-line machines while ensuring proper preparation for the next process. Perform quality checks for the proper labeling of the product and separation of each copy and batch according to the Work Instructions.

Requirements:

-Bi-Lingual and fluent in Chinese Mandarin and English
-5-7 years Manifacturing experience; serving directly as expeditor is a definite plus
-sense of urgency
-able to multitask in a fast paced environment
good knowledge of general warehouse layout, item identification codes , basic warehouse procedures
