Position: Senior Technical Engineer

Reports to: Quality Engineering Manager

Location: Guangdong, Shenzhen

  

Duties:  

1.       Take part in Design / Product development meeting and provide inputs in quality, manufacturability, reliability and measurability.

2.       Evaluate the product drawings / specifications to meet customer / company requirement. 

3.       Coordinate product qualification (PPAP) of new projects.

4.       Support project team in new product development process and provide inputs in quality aspect.

5.       Evaluate the measurement system of both internal QA Lab and the supplier.

6.       Communicate with US team any problems found in product qualification process.

7.       Develop submission and test plan in new product qualification process.

8.       Must have "can do" attitude, Handle ad hoc duties as required.

9.       Travel to APAC regions is required to support project development and product qualification.

  

Qualification requirements:

1.       Bachelor degree in electronics, electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, industrial engineering or related disciplines.

2.       Minimum 7-10 years' working experience in manufacturing research and development or pre-production quality engineering, at least 5 years’ experience in supplier management and new project development. Working experience in gas appliance industry is a plus.

3.       Knowledge of different quality and new product development tools such as: DFSS, FMEA, 6-Sigma, DOE, Concurrent Engineering, DFM, etc. Solid experience on 6-sigma project or utilization of TS five Quality tools is preferred.

4.       Familiar with manufacturing process of kitchen and outdoor appliances including: gas, Electronic / electrical, metal fabrication, surface coating, plastic injection molding, Tooling design, electric plating, powder coating and finished goods packaging.

5.       Strong organizational skills and must be a team player capable of cooperating with different departments.

6.       Fluency in written and oral English, take a role of moderator in weekly phone conference call with US team.

7.       Solid experience of communicating with foreigner by email and over the phone is a must.

8.       Candidates with less experience will be considered as Technical Engineer.
