The sBU Organic Peroxides is a global producer of specialty chemicals which are sold to major manufacturers of thermoplastic resins such as PVC, LDPE, polypropylene, EPS and acrylic resins. In addition, the sBU supplies essential products used in the production of thermoplastic resins, and curing of thermoset and elastomeric materials. Due to the hazardous nature of our products, it is vital to be recognized as safe and reliable supplier and producer. We are perceived as the leader in safety in the industry. Responsibilities:
?Management and development of Site Controllers in Asia Pacific region within the sBU
?Functional responsibility with regards to the controlling activities in all business areas in the Asia Pacific region: manufacturing, Sales & Marketing, and strategic planning/analysis, investment project evaluation, cost control.
?Ad hoc calculations and economic studies for strategic and operational decisions
?As a primary business analyst, provides support evaluates and assesses investment proposals and generates Appropriation requests for project funding.
?Monitors and provides advice on the financial, economic and fiscal consequences of strategic plans and actions.
?Supports Business Manager in applying the AN business principles within the regional business
?With respect to the registration of transactions, flows of goods and money and other accounting entries in the accounting systems, maintains close cooperation with the Functional Chemicals Accounting team
?Guides and coordinates the SBU interests in contacts and relations with functional departments within the BU and Corporate. This includes typical financial issues such as in- and external audits, subsidies, finance, tax and insurance issues, but also areas such as Purchasing, IM, Legal affairs and HR.
?Guides and supports the process of Code of Conduct and Compliance in the Asia Pacific region; guards the overall process of being in control in all aspects ?Personal responsibility to support/embrace all safety and compliance policies within AkzoNobel. Requirements:
?University Degree in Economics or equivalent. ?More than 7 years financial experience
?Independent, self-starter
?Strong detail orientation, analytical ability and problem-solving skills
?Strong team-work and interpersonal skills
?Ability to work in multi-cultural environment
?Good written and verbal communication skills (English)
?Strong computer skills - proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint and Word is required, SAP desirable Additional Information:
The Regional Controller is responsible for the financial planning and control process within the context of the directives, controls and guidelines established by the BU and sBU. He/she is responsible for coordination on the regional level on various controlling, accounting, tax, legal and information management projects to insure transparency. As a member of the regional marketing and management teams, the Regional Controller is involved in all key business decisions and provides financial and fiscal advice and support to the members of the team. He/she is part of the global team which includes SBU Controller, Business Analysts and Regional Controller with global coordination of key processes. In addition to the business support role, the Regional Controller leads and manages Site Controllers in Asia Pacific region.
