Business Development Manager (sourcing) - Dongguan



JOB SUMMARY

The Business Developer Manager (BDM) plans and carries out products from a category sourced in the determined region based on the input from the Strategic Buyer. The whole products life is concerned so s/he is in charge of the relations with the suppliers as well as ensuring that deliveries are carried out timely.



JOB REQUIEMENTS



The BDM China will report to the GM of Category & Product Development, this role is primarily responsible for:

? Leadership of the DAU team

? Sourcing, both finished products and components

? Strategic Purchasing in collaboration with DEU / DJG to meet cost targets

? Supporting the product development strategies developed from Australia

? Collaboration with DJG / DEU on sourcing and product development

? Managing existing supplier relationships

? Developing new supplier relationships in concert with PD strategy

? Management of the QA team in conjunction with the Australian QA team

? Overall responsibility for the relation with the supplier and all business activities carried out by the BD team members: Project engineering, Project Quality and Supply Chain.

? Ensures that all products are delivered from appointed suppliers according to specifications and all other conditions agreed: quality, time and cost.

? Cooperate in the product life cycle process

? Effective proactive liaison with other departments as necessary to forecast, plan to meet, and to supply demand to relevant quality

? Confer with marketing, sales and market quality departments to define client requirements and expectations.

? Administration and reporting as necessary

? Constantly improve conditions at suppliers, monitoring raw material prices, securing a correct start up and phase out of products in close co-operation with Dorel Europe

? Negotiate with suppliers and work to optimize costs.

? Develop material costs forecasts or standard cost lists.

? Cost saving budgeting and targeting

? Optimize the supply capacity within the geographical area of responsibility in coordination with the Strategic Buyer: starting up new suppliers as well as closing down business relations.

? Design or implement supply chains that support business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost reduction strategies.

? Constantly improve suppliers' performances to create capability for long term development.

? Together with each supplier set the goals and create action plan that will enhance the full potentials of the business

? Setting and planning how to achieve supplier level management

? Evaluate and develop existing production capacities.

? Implement purchasing policy and planning derived from SB inputs.

? Payment terms negotiation, optimisation and management

? Outsourcing development/management

? Builds effective and actively maintains relation with supplier.

? Act as the company's ambassador.
