As an Assistant Hardware Engineer, you will be part of the Industrial Automation Business and Measurement & Analytics Business Line (BL) based in Shanghai. ABB is the World leader in Industrial Automation (IA) Business delivers integrated solutions for control, plant optimization, and industry-specific application knowledge and services to help process industry customers worldwide to meet their critical business needs in the areas of operational profitability, capital productivity, risk management and global responsibility. These industries include oil and gas, power, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, pulp and paper, metals, cement, minerals, marine and turbocharging.

You will support the achievement of successful results in projects in Instrumentation Product Group/ Measurement & Analytics Business Line (BL) / Industrial Automation Business in Shanghai /China country/NAS region. You will utilize your knowledge and skills in {technology and/or product development} to identify and implement innovative technology development and solutions.

？ Responsible for hardware design and development of Instrumentation device.
？ Responsible for functionality, performance, cost and quality of the deliveries.
？ Solve technical issues identified during functional test, EMC test, Climate test, etc.
？ Provide technical support to life cycle maintenance of released product.
？ Collaborate with other colleagues inside/outside R&D during product development.
？ Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

？ 3+ years of working experience Instrumentation Device and both in analog and digital circuit design, strong analog circuit design is preferred.
？ Good understanding on EMC design / verification.
？ Familiar with Mentor Graphics or OrCAD Cadence and Allegro.
？ Understanding on principle of component selection.
？ Work experience in industrial, automotive or medical electronics is preferred.
？ Experience in project management of electronics product development is a plus.
？ Understanding on firmware, mechanical design and production is an added advantage.
？ Knowledge of fieldbus Device (Hart/FF/ Profibus PA etc..) or similar products is an added advantage.
？ Knowledge of Vortex/ultrasonic/Maganetostrictive level/ electromagnetic flowmeters or similar products is preferred.
？ Analytical skills to solve problems generally.
？ Good self-management, self-motivation and willing to take challenges.
？ A good team player.
？ Good communication skills in both Chinese and English.
