Mission:

Your mission is to Mechanically Design & Engineer individual projects to produce high quality customer solutions utilizing Atlas Copco standards and best practices.

Major responsibilities:

In order to achieve success in this function, the Engineer must perform the following tasks:

1.Understand and clarify with customers about mechanical related specifications.

2.Understand on-site working parameters(dimensions, clearance, operator working area, production line speed, etc).

3. Mechanical design from concept to final solutions based on predetermined proposal.

4. Make various calculations such as forces, stress and displacement analysis.

5. Design with the best ergonomic and safety practices.

6. Accord with the project milestones and raise red flag when deviation appears.

7. Organize design review meetings with other project team members.

8. Prepare and release machining drawings and BoM in projects.

9. Responsible for the accuracy and update of mechanical drawings and BoM.

10.Ensure the solution is cost competitive within the budget.

11. Work closely with other departments during projects implementation.

12. Cooperate with electrical control engineer to complete the functional design.

13. Support workshop engineers when machines are assembling.

14. Support installation engineers during Start-Up at customer site.

15. Actively involved in technical documentation and maintenance guide preparation.

16. Utilizing Atlas Copco best practices and improving our standard solutions continuously.

17. Initiate trouble-shooting in a complex scenario if necessary.

18. Initiate lesson learned actively and proactively in case of design failure.

19. Maintain work related documents, such as design review protocols, customer visiting report, lessons learned, etc;

Candidate profile:

1. 5+ years experience in mechanical design.

2. Experience in Finite Element Analysis with Solidworks simulation.

3. Experience in pneumatic design and components selection.

4. Proven experience in non-standard equipment and fixture design.

5. Experience in Motor Vehicle and/or General Industry.

Competence

1. Bachelor degree or above in Mechanical engineering, automation or equivalent.

2. Advanced level of CAD skills in Solidworks and AutoCAD.

3. Familiar with parts fabricating processes, heat treatment and surface finishing processes.

4. Basic understanding of automatic control components' features, such as switches, sensors, encoders, motors, etc.

5. Strong understanding of material properties including high performance steels, stainless steels, aluminum, plastics, rubber and composites.

6. Communicative level (spoken & written) in English & Chinese (Mandarin).
