Purpose
IKEA FOOD is also about encouraging IKEA store visitors to stay longer and enjoy more, making it fun for everyone, offering great food at low prices, giving visitors a tasty reason to return again and again, and providing co-workers with a chance to rest and re-charge.
Mandate
Use your knowledge to support the Kitchen Production Manager and Team Assistants in the implementation of the IKEA FOOD concept to increase the sales of IKEA home furnishings products and support the IKEA position as the leading home furnishings company.
You lead by example, in relation to production, quality, customer satisfaction and food safety.
Main Responsibilities and Duties
? Implement the IKEA FOOD concept, effective range presentation, basic actions and dish specifications.
? Train and coach co-workers and be a natural source of know-how about IKEA food range and food production.
? Follow the IKEA and national Food Safety Policies.
? Ensure a safe working environment for fellow co-workers, customers and visitors in line with the Health and Safety legislation, Group Risk Manual and the IKEA Health & Safety policy.
? Ensure that you have the customer in focus and meet our customers with a positive, friendly and service-minded attitude. Lead by example.
? Work with the Kitchen Production Manager to ensure the efficient maintenance of the area, ensuring it is clean, organised, appealing and inviting to provide a positive customer experience.
? Be cost conscious, for example through; controlling waste, correct portions, correct production levels and correct cooking methods.
? Work on key tasks within the production area as defined by Kitchen Production Manager.
Knowledge
? Has chef education and/or chef experience.
Motivation
? Passionate about food.
? Interest in life at home and home furnishings.
? Finds motivation in, and lives, the IKEA values
Capability
? Demonstrates service minded and customer oriented attitude and focus
? Have multi-tasking capabilities
? Clear and effective communication, presentation and influencing skills.
? Organisational skills.
? Must have the ability to work in a high-volume, fast paced, and constantly changing retail environment.
