Responsibility
1. Sell and achieve sales targets
2. Maintain a sales plan on current and future expected sales for 6 months
3. Show a strong work ethic and do whatever is necessary to accomplish targets and demonstrate a desire to succeed in your objectives
4. Manage your time effectively in and out of the office and plan customer visits in an efficient manner to optimise travelling time and manage costs to the company
5. Develop your knowledge and skills
6. Build market knowledge of fastener users in your target area and document that information and provide to your manager.
7. Keep accurate and relevant customer information and provide updated information to your manager.
a) Manage and co-ordinate the entire sales process for any customer effectively
8. Understand and follow current policy and rules on all company and sales related issues
9. Communicate effectively internally on any significant issues
10. Ensure that any stock that is bought for your customers is managed within policy
11. Resolve issues relating to late payments from customers
12. Work with colleagues in an effective way to bring group focus to the sales effort
13. Build effective relationships with prospects and customers.
14. Visit all customers regularly unless there are special circumstances which should be agreed with your manager
15. Provide accurate and complete item information to sourcing for quoting purposes
16. Ensure that quotations submitted is accurate and professional
17. Dress appropriately to provide a professional image to the customer

1. Different types of fasteners
2. Quality management concepts and the Quality Management system of Shanghai
3. General knowledge of manufacturing industry
4. Verbal and written English
5. Logistics understanding including work floor delivery systems relative to fasteners
6. Business methodologies, 6 Sigma, 5S, JIT, etc
7. Costing and gross margin calculation

These skill sets are required to enable you to work effectively. They are skills that you need to be aware of and improve if you wish to develop.
