As a Firmware Engineer, you will be part of the Industrial Automation Business and Measurement & Analytics Business Line (BL) based in Shanghai & Hangzhou. ABB is the World leader in Industrial Automation (IA) division delivers integrated solutions for control, plant optimization, and industry-specific application knowledge and services to help process industry customers worldwide to meet their critical business needs in the areas of operational profitability, capital productivity, risk management and global responsibility. These industries include oil and gas, power, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, pulp and paper, metals, cement, minerals, marine and turbocharging.

? Analyze and Develop new product (measurement products).
? Perform firmware architecture design, sub-system analysis and design based on requirements from Marketing.
? Coding/debugging of firmware with software development tools (IAR, CCS, ICE etc.) on Micro-controller.
? Define test strategy and perform unit test, subsystem test and verification test according to V&V cycle.
? Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

? A Master’s degree in Electronic engineering or Automation.
? Sound knowledge in firmware programming for field bus applications (Profibus PA, FF Fieldbus, Modbus and Hart Communications.
? Familiar with architecture of ARM /DSP/ C51 or one of any other processors.
? Strong skill for firmware methodology (Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, UML) and tools (Subversion, PC-lint, Doxgen etc.).
? Model software architecture based on Object-oriented design.
? Excellent understanding of algorithm – adaptive filter, FFT etc.
? Proficient with at least one RTOS (ucos, linux etc.).
? Fluent oral and written English.
? A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies.
? A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
