The IT Operations Supervisor reports to the IT Project Manager and belongs to the IT department.
This Department aims at supporting the Company in terms of electronic communications. They are in charge of the daily IT support and maintenance. Meanwhile, the team also evaluates the internal needs and should find the best solutions to satisfy them.
Mission
The IT Operations Supervisor, under the responsibility of the IT Project Manager, is in charge of the day-to-day IT operations.
His main purpose is to find ways to make the internal software and interfaces more productive, by providing effective ways of improvement.
The IT Operations Supervisor is an expert in his/her field: he/she provides professional technical support to ensure the store application system can meet the sales requirement.
Key Duties & Activities
Due to the growth of the Company, the IT operations are constantly prone to evolve in order to support it.
The IT Operations Supervisor is in charge of the adaptation and improvements of these internal operations.
1. Night Processing supervision & follow-up
The IT Operations Supervisor supervises and controls the night processing, and ensures that, every morning, the Warehouse team receives the proper Picking List on time.
In other terms, he/she has to make sure that the night data collection from shops (Mainland China & SEA), the integration into Storeland and the automatic publication of the Picking list goes well.
He/She is not physically in office at night but should always be available in case of emergency that the night team cannot solve alone.
In case of any problem during the night, it is the IT Operations Supervisor’s responsibility to analyze it, to detect its causes and to find ways for solving it.
2. Store Report
As the Storeland expert, the IT Operations Supervisor is responsible for configuring it in order to support, on a daily basis, the user departments, such as Finance, Product Management and Stock Management, to make them more productive and effective on a long-term perspective.
o Needs identification
The IT Operations Supervisor is the main contact person within the IT Department: he is responsible for collecting the users’ needs and analyzing them.
o Storeland configuration
After the needs evaluation, the IT Operations Supervisor defines the Storeland parameters, under IT project manager validation, to make the software automatically generate the proper reports.
o Follow-up
The user departments should report any problem that they identify in the reports generated by Storeland in order to make the IT Operations Supervisor able to improve them.
3. F3 Project follow-up
The IT Operations Supervisor is the F3 expert in the Company: he/she is in charge of the daily follow-up of the F3 system.
o Needs identification
The IT Operations Supervisor is responsible for collecting the users’ needs and analyzing them in order to make F3 more effective.
o Improvement areas identification
In case of any problem, it is the IT Operations Supervisor’s responsibility to focus on it and to find solutions, either by him/herself, or with the support of the F3 supplier.
o Test
He/She should maintain close relationships with F3 Supplier and work with them to improve the system whenever it is requested.
The IT Operations Supervisor is responsible for testing the new modules set-up by the supplier.
o Implementation & Follow-up
After validation of the Test version, the IT Operations Supervisor is responsible for implementing it within the company, and training the future users in order to guaranty the optimum utilization of the software.
4. Daily Operations
The IT Operations Supervisor supports the IT Project Manager to complete the various IT projects designed to make the IT processes and operations smoother and easier to manage.
He/She intervenes to improve the efficiency of the daily operations.

o Ensure the stability & growth of the team members by ensuring they are always trained on time when the IT team sets-up new processes,
o Maintain a regular communication with the team by calling them regularly (when problems occurs or once a week) in order to get their feedback about the previous night,
o Make sure that they always report the problems / difficulties they might encounter during the night, to be able to solve them on a permanent basis.
