Our client is a well known European Retailer with over 350 stores selling furniture, electrical, toys, sundries and decorative items at entry price point market level.

They have established sourcing offices in Hong Kong, Ningbo and Shenzhen. Due to their growth they are now searching for a Sourcing & Procurement Developer to join their team in Ningbo.

This role works independently but requires very close partnerships with the European buying team and required previous experience in sourcing, development negotiation and procurement of furniture.

- 5 years relevant experience in sourcing, development, procurement of furniture and or decorative items
- Experience in China and South Asia (Indonesia and Vietnam)
- Must be willing to travel extensively for sourcing
- Can work independently and drive self on a project basis
- Used to working on new or growing sourcing categories
- Experience working in a retail sourcing office environment
- Experince in merchandising and sourcing furniture
- Used to forming relationships with European buyers and meeting expectations
- Excellent communication in English, Cantonese and Mandarin are essential, French an advantage
- Must be hands on, with a good attitude and willing to learn.
- Excellent presentation and relationship skills are essential, both with factories and head office
- Located in Ningbo, China
