JOB PURPOSE
Management of the transportation team in China
Interaction with Internal departments such as Distribution, Planning, Allocation, Retail Operations, Commercial Procurement, Asset Protection
Execution of the global transportation strategy while ensuring all export activities support
Partnership with freight providers within the region
In charge of omni-channel / control tower role working closely with stores for e-commerce.

Partnership with freight providers within the region
In charge of omni-channel / control tower role working closely with stores for e-commerce.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with third party logistics providers that operates the Italy hub and local distribution centres in China to ensure smooth operation of deliveries to retail stores; as well as digital end to end transportation.
- To manage the freight providers to ensure the execution of day-to-day activities to predefined SOPs
- To conduct and attend regular review meetings / conference call with countries and freight providers
- Work across internal Burberry teams in Asia and globally to implement new projects such as new stores openings or seasonal events
- Regular report on KPIs and cost for Transportation activities in the region
- Monthly invoice checking and submit to Finance for payment process
- Co-ordination of hub-to-hub logistics activities
- Leading freight tenders to meet strategic & cost control requirements, including but not limited to evaluation, negotiation prep & commercial terms finalisation
- Supervision of the team and problem solving for day-to-day export shipment handling
- Deliver Operational Excellence and cost reduction in partnership with freight providers.
