We are recruiting a highly talented and motivated individual to join our Asia organization to establish a new team of product and packaging designers, ensuring creative and responsive service to internal and external customers. This position reports to the company's Chief Operating Officer.

Job Responsibilities
-Establish and manage an Asia based design and product development team
-To develop and manage new product & packaging ideas for various clients from concept through sampling.
-To develop (personally or through team resources) expertise and perspective on the company's primary product categories.
-To further enhance Company's position as a design/creative lead company by creating an image for us with existing clients as a company capable of operating as their "design arm" as well as their manufacturing partner.
-To work with Sales & Marketing, Accounts & Sourcing teams to get a proactive flow of outstanding creative products to clients, developing raw material and finished product ideas.
-To provide an education and information resource for China based accounts and sourcing teams through trend and market information.
-To improve sales and marketing presentations by adding creativity and flair appropriate for the specific client and category.

Position Requires
-Creative yet practical and organized.
-Solid experience in developing lines of product and packaging, someone with flair, good color sense and high energy. We need to see a track record. The key objective is to turn great ideas into functional products with great packaging that our clients love. The businesses that we work with range from toys, small home appliances, home décor, outdoor furniture and personal care items. It is predominantly hard goods.
-Leadership experience and ability to manage a team across multiple offices.
-Ability to drive overall design vision and overseeing product development.
-Position can be based in either in Hong Kong or Guangzhou with frequent trips to China showrooms and factories. There will also be overseas travel to our US offices and trade shows.
-Degree holder with a minimum of five years experience in product development and design.
