As an DS Software Engineer, you will be part of the Industrial Automation Division and Marine & Ports Business Units (BU) based in Shanghai. ABB is the World leader in Industrial Automation (IA) division delivers integrated solutions for control, plant optimization, and industry-specific application knowledge and services to help process industry customers worldwide to meet their critical business needs in the areas of operational profitability, capital productivity, risk management and global responsibility. These industries include oil and gas, power, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, pulp and paper, metals, cement, minerals, marine and turbocharging.

1. Perform strategic research projects in marine Information and control systems.
2. Design and development of new (control/application) software solution and product.
3. Software products verification and testing.
4. Programming and make mimic of system.
5. Work in projects to deliver design and commissioning for software products.
6. Following ABB internal guideline and safety requirement.
7. Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

？ Master’s degree or above in Automation, or Electrical engineering, Industry automation, Communication, Electronics, Computer Science, or other related areas.
？ Experience in design or engineering related to PLC/ embedded system
？ Competence of application-oriented research works, Excellent innovation capability, Self-motivated, high curiosity and ability to learn about new technologies is required.
？ Familiar with industry communication protocol, such as CAN, profibus, TCP/IP and computer network technology.
？ Good knowledge of ABB Controller and 800xA system is preferred.
？ Fluent in English and Chinese communication skills (reading and writing).
？ Proactive attitude and willing to take challenges and encouraging & motivating the whole team to do so.
？ Willing to travel domestic and oversea.
？ A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn about new technologies.
？ A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach with strong communication skills in order to quickly resolve project related activities and issues.
