Early involvement of responsible BU/Dept/LC

l Deeply involved in the proposal phase of a project when the win possibility is over 80%

l Early involved in any material/supplier related activities when a customer contract is signed, including project meetings, project planning, suppliers selecting, etc.

l Involve VAVE project and to be key member to provide support from sourcing side

Procurement Plan

l Create and update procurement plans according to the pre-cal of a project, to specify main commodities, budget and candidate suppliers, timing schedule

Monitor purchasing process compliance

l Make sure the process is in compliance with company’s policy

l Joint decision of supplier selection, between project team and SCM sourcing team

l Lead the related commodity strategy & supplier development activity with local SCM and lead center project team’s support.

l Maintain the key supplier’s base for the dedicated commodity and product group.

l Project data maintenance for SCM Database

l PO control, including material following up

Commercial Negotiation

l Lead commercial negotiation with suppliers and make joint purchase decision with the project team.

l Coordination between: PM/SCM/Suppliers

Other Support from Team

l Coordinate the internal Summary approval process

l Periodic analysis of purchasing data & supplier base

l Support other routine activities of SCM if necessary

KPI

l Drive the Y-Y cost saving target achievement through the project development.

l Push the localization/local country source target achievement.

l Develop and execute the commodity strategy about the key commodities within the dedicated PG.

l Support the functional team to reach the quality, OTD and payment terms target.

Job Requirement

Education and Training required

l Bachelor degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or business management.

l 2 years+ purchasing or sourcing experience about mechanical, electrical, or electronic product is preferred.

l Techniques , experienced as design engineer and quality engineer is a plus

l Training with international terms of trade and payment

l Training with ISO standards and quality certification processes

l Strong problem solving skills

l Excellent English skills (spoken and written) , and German/French skill is a plus

l Highly skilled at MS office

l Must have the ability to influence while negotiating and the charisma to engage and motivate people
