职位描述

Job Purpose:

Directs, Coordinates and manages product development process in SEA for furniture product category (K&B Faucets, T&S, Bath Accessories, Vanities, Kitchen Cabinets, Sinks, Counter Tops). Executes product life cycle process by evaluating suppliers and ensuring product requirements are adhered to relative to aesthetics, function, cost, materials and USA industry requirements. Coordinates and manages all aspects of product delivery to US Product Manager & Asia/US Account Managers, and Customers.


Duties:

Product Design & Development

  • Work closely with PM to understand the Design/Materials/Function requirements in order to achieve Correct Product Value.
  • Direct & Manage Product Design & Development or execute shop the shelf strategy with Suppliers to ensure correct Products are sampled.
  • Responsible for Approving (SAR’s) all Samples and PPS (Pre-Production Samples) for Design, Materials, Quality and Function.
  • Coordinate product samples with Supplier, PM, Sales and AM to ensure samples are provided within predetermined time.
  • Ensure all products meet USA and or Canadian Government Standards and Certifications (UPC/CUPC/NSF/CSA/ADA).
  • Provide Packaging and Merchandising direction to Suppliers.


Project Management

  • Manage the US product plan timelines and ensure proper prioritization of projects by supplier and product team
  • Provide weekly Management & Project Tracking Reports for all projects.
  • Submit & Receive RFQ's to Suppliers for Quotes.
  • Direct & Manage Cost negotiation with Suppliers.
  • Conduct Profitability Analysis and Work with Product Managers & Account Managers to ensure profitability.
  • Manage intellectual property issues with SEA suppliers (Trademarks, Copyright and Patents)
  • Responsible for all Account Level Communication (Applicable if no AM).
  • Maintenance of all customer item databases (Applicable if no AM).
  • Maintain Design Request Forms, New Product Worksheet (including final costing), fact sheet database, spec sheets, installation instructions, repair parts lists, etc.


Supplier Management

  • Responsible for evaluating current supplier base against the changing needs of Sales and sourcing new Suppliers if needed.
  • Ensure that existing and new suppliers conform to the requirements of DHI and 3rd Party Supplier Audits.
  • Work closely with QA/QC to on establishing correct criteria for product inspections.
  • Assist China Purchasing with Supplier Accounts Payable Issue Resolution.
  • Manage and Coordinate with DHI QA, AM & Supplier any DHI & 3rd Party Product Testing requirements and ensure requirements are met.
  • Responsible to Coordinate with Supplier any 3rd party Pre-Shipment inspections that are required (Applicable if no AM).
  • Responsible for ensuring supplier can pass DHI, Customer and 3rd Party Audit requirements at the appropriate acceptable level.
  • Responsible for working with Suppliers to maintain and monitor Production Schedules in order to ensure Supplier meets Shipping Schedules. (Applicable if no AM).
  • Manage Customer Requirements for Product and Packaging (Artwork, Bar Codes, etc.) and ensure Supplier meets these requirements. (Applicable if no AM).

Qualifications:

  • Degree preferably in Business, Engineering or Marketing
  • Experience in Kitchen & Bath industries a plus
  • 2-4 years product management experience in consumer durable products
  • Demonstrated success in executing & launching successful products
  • Organizational, Analytical, Mechanical & Problem Solving
  • Costing, Pricing, Margin Analysis
  • Prioritize & execute multiple projects with limited supervision to meet or exceed deadlines
  • Superior communication skills –interpersonal, verbal, listening, written & presenting.


  • Must demonstrate initiative, judgment, tact & diplomacy in dealing with internal & external customers as well the ability to handle confidential & proprietary information
  • Ability to lead & manage
  • Work both independently & as part of a cross-functional team, including high multi-task capabilities
  • Advanced computer skills in business based applications to include, but not limited to spreadsheet, word processing, database & software (CRM, Sharepoint)
