We are searching for a textile senior merchandiser for our client, Crossline
ABOUT CROSSLINE
Crossline is a French company manufacturing garment in Bangladesh, Mainland China & Pakistan, with commercial offices in France, Spain, Germany and the United States. Crossline company is a garment maker for French market brands. For our China production, we are looking for a textile senior merchandiser.
China garment productions are mainly based in Tianjin area. Running production is mainly tee shirts and leggings: knit items.
Crossline China office is based in Shanghai city center (Jing An temple area)
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES-TEXTILE SENIOR MERCHANDISER
The candidate will work within the textile industry, in relation with French sales, crossline Chinese QC team and our Tianjin factories.
The candidate should be a driving force to follow up the daily activity of each factories
The main responsibilities of this person will be to:
1. Based in our Shanghai office
2. Be in touch daily with sales people and Tianjin factories
3. Follow up daily operation with china factory:
4. Chase and follow development samples
5. Follow the conformity of each counter samples, fitting samples and pre production samples( color, handfeel, workmanship, measurements, quality) , referring to buyer’s technical files before sending to buyer.
6. Daily reporting on every step of the production: lab dips, fabric quality approval, accessories, fit samples, bulk tests, exact production status for each order (cutting, sewing, ironing, packing..) inline report analysis coming from our QC team, final inspection and ETD following.
7. Report if any quality problem or delay
8. Prepare weekly report for sales people so they can have clear status of current production
9. Help to prepare some export documents
10. Help for parcel dispatch when parcels have to be send out to France for buyer approvals
CANDIDATE PROFILE
1. At least 5 years working experience in textile industry as a production manager for knit garment
2. Technical knowledge on knit fabric and garment
3. Ability to gather and report information daily and clearly
4. Extensive factory sourcing network would be a plus
5. Good communication skills in English and Chinese, good PC skills (excel)
6. Well organized and result oriented but also capable of working autonomously.
