Report to: Senior VP
Position Summary
Search for potentially qualified suppliers. New supplier assessment, sourcing and management; business negotiation; supporting of the new product development, cost management, quality improving, and other activities to support the business and operation.
Specific Responsibilities
(1) Search for potentially qualified suppliers. Understand the purchase requisition source and select the appropriate suppliers to meet the company's purchasing demands for the quality,price,delivery,service,working capital,etc.
(2) Supplier qualification assessment,including company profile,aligning with business needs,cost, technique, operation, capacity, quality,and business terms and comply with company's souricng strategy.
(3) Support NPD project by closely work with QA team. Work with QA department regarding supplier quality control and improvement. Work as a team to keep quality defects & claims to the minimum.
(4) Prepares RFQ, collect and analyze competitive quotes from multiple suppliers for product cost efficiency, support upper management with best solutions.
(5) Implement supplier performance management by quality, delivery, cost, service.
(6) Manage projects, and keep projects going on track within scheduled time line, and minimize the costs in the daily operations.
(7) Qualification High sense of integrity. High ethical standards. Strong analytical, technical, and organizational skills with a high degree of attention to details.
(8) Good knowledge and skills of sourcing techniques and strategies; strong negotiation skills.
(9) Must be a self-motivated and a good team player having strong communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
(10) Be willing to travel frequently.
(11) Fluent oral and written English is required.
(12) Proficient in using Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
Education and Experience
Bachelor degree or above in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related fields. Minimum 5 years of experience in sourcing. Sourcing experience in international companies, program and project management skills preferred.
