Job Title: Vertical Manager – Wuhan
Business Unit: Strategic Market Development
Location: Chengdu, Wuhan
Reports To: Senior Market Development Manager
Job Summary:
A full-time role connecting vertical resources in Wuhan and adjacent regions accelerating Central China growth. The candidate will spend as much as 60% time driving top vertical accounts and key projects, 30% time on vertical marketing programs creating demand, and 10% time building close ties with local gov’t and key opinion leaders.
This is a very key role managing local challenges driving Central China growth with very exciting exposure and career growth opportunity.
Essential Job Functions and Accountability:
- Map out Tier 2 regional entitlement opportunity. Monitor local key account, key project and major gov’t bidding in the region; 了解当地政策、投资走向、核心支柱产业,搜集政府大的招投标项目; 代表赛默飞公司与当地政府核心部门、大学、科研院校等核心客户建立高层往来
- Organize cross divisional Monthly Business Review meeting in Chengdu. Prioritize vertical accounts and key projects. Develop sales plan to achieve +30% growth; 召集成都地区销售会议,筛选项目、客户信息,确定该地区重点项目、重点客户,制定销售计划;
- Coordinate and drive top vertical projects and focus accounts; Engage branch commercial team to Max. company overall share of wallet (SOW) improving penetration; 协调内部资源,协同作战,共赢大单:
- Assign project/account leaders to specific projects or focus account;
- Lead pricing and commercial discussion, selling and bidding strategy in case of differences across divisions to enable company Big-Win;
- Coordinate technical plan leverage company full capabilities and product offering.
- Organizer training and branch team building – making connections and build up team identify; 组织分公司人员培训,团队建设,强化凝聚力和企业文化;
Educational Qualifications:
· Bachelor/Master education in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Pharma, or Life Science related, Healthcare, or any science/engineering degree relevant to Thermo Fisher business
Experience Qualifications:
- Must have +7 years experience in any markets relevant to Thermo Fisher business – analytical instruments, life science, healthcare, environment;
- Must be very experienced with +5 years of sales, pre-sales experience;
- Internal candidate highly preferred
- Ability to read, write and basic communication in English highly preferred;
Skills Requirements:
- Must be “People-Oriented” type of person; Strong leadership, interpersonal communication and engagement skills
- Excellent commercial sense and great listening skills to assess customer needs;
- Project management skills in terms of planning and cross functional coordination, communication and team engagement and motivating skills essential
- Willing to travel approximately 30-40%
