职位描述：
POSITION SUMMARY:
Develop and source all products required by the operation companies.
Develop good relationship with both operation companies and suppliers; make sure the source products meet the requirement of operation companies, and delivery on time.
New product development, help operation companies to collect new products information, give suggestion on design and work close with suppliers to develop new model.
Collects information on raw materials and components, analyses market situation and feedback to operation companies.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Taking an active role within the Engineering Team of operation companies and the Suppliers / Customers to develop and test of all product parts and finish products comply with international and internal standards set by the company. Establish the role as the category expert for electronic products.
2. Taking an active role in qualifying suppliers and evaluation of process.
3. Monitor and implement all new requirements / standards either demanded by the customers or the markets which the products are aimed at.
4. Establish close contact with known standard bodies (internationally) to ensure that the products developed comply with the required standards at all times.
5. Assisting the Engineering team of operation companies in the development and cataloguing of technical designs on new and existing products.
6. Adopting an ‘Ownership Principle’ of relevant suppliers to ensure that products developed and manufactured by the supplier meet the required standard set by the company. This will involve site visits and product inspection at sites prior to dispatch as and when required.
7. Assisting the Engineering team of operation companies to develop customer friendly installation instructions and spares guidelines for the use of all company products.
8. Taking part in new or existing but modified, product prototyping and related product testing leading to approval.
9. Work safely and ensure the safety of others. Follow all safety rules/instructions and wear protective equipment where applicable.
10. Communicate any opportunity to improve business service levels whilst reducing costs. To participate in the improvement of the business process
11. Any other reasonable duty within the jobholder’s capability as requested from time to time by the jobholder’s manager.
Domestic travel is a must. Overseas traveling is required
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: List the minimum education and/or experience necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this position. Include licenses or certificates required.
1. Engineering Qualification, ideally University degree in Electronic engineering /science engineering.
2. Work in product development / design environment in electric products manufacturing company. Be Familiar to the home electric appliance development.
3. Good knowledge of international standards relating to parts used in conjunction with electronic products is desirable. Be familiar with international standard such as UL, UC etc.
4. Good knowledge of products, processes and potential part suppliers
5. Good command of English Language and able to communicate clearly, orally and in writing, at all levels.
6. Ability to operate AutoCAD, office etc.
7. Self-motivated, analytical, tactful with excellent interpersonal skills.
8. Should be on board by September 2008.
